Hi. I'm attempting to needlepoint the Flora and Fauna piece you have featured above. I'm having trouble trying to figure ohm which light turqouise you have used. The number (2220) that you've listed here is wrong. Can you let me know what you've used. If this color is gone, can you suggest a close substitute? I've tried 2151 and 1055 and am not happy with the result.

Might there be any designs for mermaids? I'm looking for something a little whimiscal, and not at all formal, for a bathroom.

  3. Nina says:

Do you have any tutorials on designing your own needlepoint? Or on eco-friendly (e.g. certified organic) needlepoint supplies?

  4. purl bee says:

    Hi DivaDar-

Sadly we don't have any mermaids but there are plenty of whimsical non-formal designs. You can check them all out here:

    Thanks for your question!

  5. Suzanne says:

    Wow! These are adorable designs.

  6. Heather says:

Might the yarn quantities be switched for the two pieces? It seems like the one that uses multiple skeins of pink should be the flora and fauna?

  7. purl bee says:

    Hi Heather-

The yarn quantities are correct but thanks so much for your question!

    Hi Nina-

We don't have any tutorials on how to design your own needlepoint canvas but we'd like to do something like that in the future.

None of our needlepoint supplies is organic but our canvas is 100% cotton and the yarn contains no synthetics.

    Thanks for your questions!

    Hi Nadia.
Sorry about the color confusion. Color 1503 would be a lovely substitute.
    Hope this helps.

    Thanks so much!
