Reminder: Launch Party for Liberty of London’s New Lifestyle Collection!

Mark your calendars! Purl Soho is hosting the launch party for Liberty of London's new Lifestyle collection this Thursday from 6 to 7pm. We hope you'll join us in celebrating Liberty's first line of fabrics specially designed for crafting and patchwork. Made with all the love we expect from Liberty of London, the Lifestyle collection brings its own fresh pop with punchy florals, super cute feedsacks, and wild paisleys. Come get a sneak peak and a jump-start your stash!

The Party

When: Thursday, July 19th from 6 to 7pm

Where: Purl Soho, 459 Broome Street, New York City

We'll be toasting to the Lifestyle collection with an amazing cocktail mixed up by Heidi Johannsen Stewart, co-owner of the extraordinary tea atelier, Bellocq. Her special summery creation will combine Bellocq's refreshing herbal blend, Le Hammeau, with a light Prosecco. It's the perfect introduction to Bellocq, whose out-of-this-world teas we are now proud to carry at Purl Soho!

The Giveaways

Three lucky partygoers will each win a giant fabric bundle that includes all 55 Lifestyle fabrics! In addition, Liberty has generously provided goodies so everyone will have something to walk away with!

And if you can't join us. . .

Two lucky online readers will also receive a Lifestyle fabric bundle that includes all 55 fabrics! To enter, leave a comment on this post by 7pm EST on Thursday telling us what you would make with all of this beautiful fabric. Remember to leave a working email address on the comment form so we can contact you if you win (please be assured that your email address won't be public and we promise not to share it with anyone!)!

My daughter, Ruby (aged 6 3/4) and I are making a mermaid quilt for her bed this summer. Ruby has made the design and I would use the liberty fabric to create a quilt that she will have forever.

  9. Carolyn says:

I would put this bundle of Liberty fabrics away as a Christmas present to myself. As a gardener in Ohio, winter can be very long so that is when I sew. Opening up the bundle of Liberty fabrics would be like treating myself to a beautiful garden when I need it most! It would become a quilt.

  10. Whitney says:

Quilts! As a brand new quilter, I'd be delighted to have so many fabric choices!

I had SUCH a great time at the launch party tonight! Hurrah to you all for a wonderful event!

  14. Ana says:

Well, if I won, first I would probably lay out all the fabric on my bed and roll around in it, inhaling and dreaming of Liberty. Then I would probably utilise all the fabulous colors and make Anna Maria Horner's prism quilt.

  15. Marie says:

Hey ! Don't know if we can still play an try to win this beautiful gift … anyway with these libertys I would make little dresses for my girls 2 years old and the other one expecting in October !
Or some stuff for Home Sweet Home …
    Have a nice party !

  16. Michelle says:

Oh those fabrics are gorgeous!! I can just imagine the possibilities:)

  17. Jessica says:

A gorgeous quilt for summer picnics!

  18. Vivien says:

A quilt for sure. Or maybe a dress for my daughter. Or perhaps a skirt for myself. Or napkins for a summer picnic! Maybe a few elegant handkerchiefs for my father. Little pouch bags perhaps? A table runner! The chance to sew with those beautiful Liberty fabrics would certainly spark the creative imagination!

  19. Bridie says:

So pretty! Would be great for a baby quilt!

  20. April S. says:

I've been loving this fabric since seeing all the pictures from Quiltmarket. I would use it to make bags or a quilt.

  21. Nienke says:

Thank you for this awesome giveaway! If I'd win I'd make a quilt for my guest room aka sewing room :)

  22. becky says:

I would make doll clothes–I am thinking of my small suitcase of doll clothes my grandmother made for me as a child. I treasure them. I have made cloth dolls(Waldorf style)–lots of time and love goes into them. They deserve beautiful, colorful, full of life clothes out of good quality fabric so that years from now they can be treasured as I treasure mine.

  23. Jill Center says:

I have so enjoyed reading all the comments of fellow Purl afficionados. Those, plus, news of these latest Liberty designs make me a "winner" already. Were I also to be selected here: I would make scarves for 45 friends and family, and have the rest for my own wardrobe… joining the piece I recently made from a Purl-ordered Liberty remnant.
    Thank you. Already.

  24. Lambini says:

I would love to make a matching set of dresses for my 4 yr. old niece and her favorite doll.

  25. Stephanie says:

I still have some vintage Liberty fabric my mother got in London decades ago. It's so beautiful I can't bring myself to cut into it. These gorgeous new prints I would go crazy with, though. I would love to make a kimono-style robe with a few of them!

  26. Shannon says:

I would be whipping up some lovely quilts and pillows to match with these lovely prints! Fingers & toes crossed for a win :)

  27. Nichole says:

I would most definitely make a quilt……..now which one is a whole other story. There's a few in the imagination stage.

  28. Becky Diehl says:

I'd use it for pockets and pieced-bodices for dresses for my 4 year-old twin daughters. We love Liberty of London at our girly house!

  29. Leisa says:

Such gorgeous prints!!! I would have to dive into the family quilt I have been wanting to create, and beautiful girly things for my daughter too. Fingers crossed! : )

  30. Heather says:

Boy I wish I lived in New York!!! I've been excited about the new Liberty prints for months. If I was lucky enough to win I'd surely make a large quilt – something for my bed. Have fun at the launch party! Junie.None@gmail.com

  31. K says:

This fabric would make wonderful summer sundresses and sunsuits for my 8 month-old! Oh, the dress possibilities!

  32. Anya says:

I would certainly make a quilt top for my 5 year old daughter. Thanks for the chance to win some of this lovely fabric… There are so many blues and reds and other more strong and saturated colors which she loves. I like the vibrancy compared to the also lovely but mostly more subtle and subdued tana lawns.

  33. Bex says:

There looks like there is something for everyone there so I would set to work on the list of Christmas presents i'm going to make this year – top of the list are handkerchieves and shoe or underwear bags, plus some appliqued hot water bottle covers.
We're also just creating a new master bedroom in our roof and the red and teal chrysanthemum print in the last picture would be great to base our decor around.
    Fingers crossed!

  34. KK says:

i'd love to finish my quilt with these beautiful fabrics!

  35. Linda says:

So many things, I think I'd put my favorites in hoops and hang them on the wall, make coin purses, a patchwork pillow, doll dress, patchwork coasters, drawstring bags. I feel inspired!

  36. heidi says:

I have a one-year old and a second on the way! I'd make a summer dress or romper for my one year old, a crib skirt for the new baby's room, and maybe an infinity scarf or a kindle cover for myself!

  37. Vanessa says:

I would make my first quilt!

  38. Sharon says:

I think I would start with a few skirts to expand my wardrobe! And to show off the fabric that is so beautiful, I think a wall quilt for my home. I have a hunch that wouldn't be all the fabric so I am sure I would whip up some clutches and look for something new to make. Thanks!

  39. Liz C says:

Oh my gosh, that teal background with the chrysanthemums is just screaming to be made into a 1940's inspired dress or full circle skirt! SO excited for this collection – thank you for the wonderful giveaway for those of us who sadly can't attend the party!

  40. Maxie says:

Those fabrics are gorgeous! I'd use them for a pretty quilt to hang in my living room. I've been wanting an art piece there, but I couldn't quite think of something suitable. When I saw these cheery designs, I thought of a quilt immediately! It would look lovely above my white sofa.

  41. Cheryl says:

Would love to use these new fabrics to make a baby quilt for the little one I'm expecting! They are beautiful.

  42. Sandra says:

Those are the.most.gorgeous.fabrics.ever….ever! Wouldn't they be beautiful with something timeless like a dresden plate or flying geese. and then with the leftovers a scrappy bag….hmmm..

  43. awakeningmywardrobe says:

I am so excited about the gorgeous new Liberty Print line. I have been collecting their clothing (on sale) for years but the cost of their regular line of tana lawn made it prohibitive for me to use their gorgeous fabrics a quilt. This is a DREAM give away. How fun it will be!!! I can always depend on The Purl Bee and Purl Soho for your beautiful sense of color and design that always inspires me. Have a wonderful launch in NYC!!
