Getting Started

This fabric is vibrant, so I want a pattern that will be equally eye-catching.  I was really inspired by the Drunk Love quilt in Denyse Schmidt's book.  Here is my sketch, a variation on the orange and yellow quilt that will add rhythm by mixing my prints and solids with two different block designs.  One block will have three layers, alternating between a solid and a print.  The other block will have four layers, each one using a different solid or print. Does that make sense?  Okay, it's hurting my head a little but I think I like it.

OK, I have the book and the fabric, but I am lacking the vision. Keep us posted!
