Treble Crochet

Begin with a stitch on the hook.  Wrap yarn twice around hook, then insert the hook into a stitch in the fabric or row.  Wrap yarn around hook, draw hook back through stitch.

You now have four stitches on the hook.

Wrap yarn around the hook, draw hook through two stitches closest to the end of the hook. Now there are three stitches remaining.

Wrap yarn around the hook again, draw hook through two stitches closest to the end of the hook. Now there are two stitches remaining.

Wrap yarn around the hook one more time.  Draw the yarn through the two remaining stitches.

I took a crochet course a few years ago and over the years I simply forgot "how to do it."After a quick review of your crochet basics it all came back to me. Thank-you

hi these are really great directions. However, I always have a problem when ending a row, and then beg. the next row. Do I skip 3 sitches for
DC and 4 for TC? And if so, could you pls. illustrate where this is on the chain? My edges are always uneven at the beg. of each new row. I do ok on the ends of the rows. thanks
