We used the idea for my daughter's class valentines. I copied a poem she wrote herself onto cardstock, help her punch holes, and she did the crocheting arounf the edges. They are a great homemade craft, when most kids bring store bought valentines- thanks for your inspiration. I took my yarn needles to a Kindergarten class and did a type of the window valentines with them! Thanks for the helpful ideas and the creative staff. I got to see you all in person when I visited NY last month:)
