You're Invited! Launch Party for Lotta Jansdotter's Brand New Fabric Line, Echo!

We have seen her sew, stamp, stencil and more. We've read her books and drooled over her creations. And now, we are honored to announce the launch of Lotta Jansdotter's very first US fabric line, Echo... brought to us by the equally enthused Windham Fabrics.

Please join us at Purl Soho, the evening of Tuesday, October 18th at 7PM to meet Lotta and to celebrate her talent!

Lotta's new Echo collection inhabits her Scandinavian roots and her DIY spirit. Her whimsical aesthetic is paired with an unmatched graphic boldness. Inspired by the Nordic landscape, yet designing for the urban dweller, there's something for everyone here!

Come raise a toast to Lotta!

  • Event Details:  Purl Soho, 459 Broome Street, NY, NY 10013, Tuesday, October 18th at 7PM

You might just win one of the five raffle prizes which include the never before sold fabrics from Echo, generously donated by Windham Fabrics. PLUS, spoiler alert... our guest of honor has dropped the hint that everyone will be going home with a must-have party bag! We hope to see you there!

Very Marimekko? That's so cool to have your own fabric line...if I were in NYC that night I'd swing on by! I can never touch too much (or own) too much fabric.

Nice prints. How about an opportunity to win a party bag for those of us that are virtual Purl Bee fans. On the west coast with no plans at the moment to b in NYC but I will be purchasing some of those prints.

Thanks,

This is a really beautiful collection. I love the colours - the grey napkin and orange placemat combination are perfect!

I'd like the pattern for the short-sleeved pullover dresses worn in photograph #1 and #3. The fabrics are very cool!

Hi Shayna-

Unfortunately these fabrics are lightweight quilting cotton, not upholstery weight.

Thank you for your question!- Molly

I'm so excited, will we able to by the fabric on line ? My son is in need of some stylish curtains for his kitchen and perhaps a matching apron xoxo

Clothes are not usually on my wishlist of sewing projects but the dresses in the pictures are beautiful! I'd use this fabric to attempt a dress or an apron! This colorful fabric is inspiring and reminds me why i like to work with fabric.

I fully intend to make a similar shift to the blue and white one shown in the first photo. Love the simplicity of the patterns of this fabric line.

I love the orange fabric and I love Lotta Jansdotter's book. I would make pillows lots and lots of them if I won.

I love the blues and grays. They would make it into a new quilt for my bedroom (not something for the kids for a change)!
