Reminder: Launch Party for Liberty of London's New Lifestyle Collection!

Mark your calendars! Purl Soho is hosting the launch party for Liberty of London's new Lifestyle collection this Thursday from 6 to 7pm. We hope you'll join us in celebrating Liberty's first line of fabrics specially designed for crafting and patchwork. Made with all the love we expect from Liberty of London, the Lifestyle collection brings its own fresh pop with punchy florals, super cute feedsacks, and wild paisleys. Come get a sneak peak and a jump-start your stash!

The Party

When: Thursday, July 19th from 6 to 7pm

Where: Purl Soho, 459 Broome Street, New York City

We'll be toasting to the Lifestyle collection with an amazing cocktail mixed up by Heidi Johannsen Stewart, co-owner of the extraordinary tea atelier, Bellocq. Her special summery creation will combine Bellocq's refreshing herbal blend, Le Hammeau, with a light Prosecco. It's the perfect introduction to Bellocq, whose out-of-this-world teas we are now proud to carry at Purl Soho!

The Giveaways

Three lucky partygoers will each win a giant fabric bundle that includes all 55 Lifestyle fabrics! In addition, Liberty has generously provided goodies so everyone will have something to walk away with!

And if you can't join us. . .

Two lucky online readers will also receive a Lifestyle fabric bundle that includes all 55 fabrics! To enter, leave a comment on this post by 7pm EST on Thursday telling us what you would make with all of this beautiful fabric. Remember to leave a working email address on the comment form so we can contact you if you win (please be assured that your email address won't be public and we promise not to share it with anyone!)!

We hope to see you at the celebration this Thursday!

Liberty London fabrics always remind me of home (and of making a home)!
If I won this selection of fabrics I would make a baby quilt for my best friend back in London who is having her first baby.

I'd also make a gorgeous bed throw that I could pass down through generations of my own family.

Oh my goodness, what WOULDN"T I make with this lovely fabric?! I have loved LIberty of London prints for sooo long. I'm having a baby in February, so I'd probably deck out his/ her room with loads of different things with this fabric. And not gonna lie, probably sneak some of it into my room or a dress for me as well.. Just a beautiful collection!

I think I would want to use these cheerful fabrics on the table - either napkins, or a table runner, or maybe both. Something that makes you smile as you walk by.

Oh Goodness, I would LOVE to win some Liberty fabric, I have a huge crush on all of it!

It would have to be a quilt, I'm thinking another Patchwork Prism quilt to go with the one I already have in the lounge

I have some cool cushion covers envisioned for this fabric.
Would absolutely love to win the bundle.

Thanks for the give away.

I just love this fabric so much. It's so beautifully feminine.
I'd make a throw for my bed with hand quilting.

Really? REALLY? How can a reader not post a comment when there is the chance of winning such an amazing bundle of fabric! I have so many ideas I can't even contain myself. Of course, the appropriate project would depend on how large those samples are - small pieces for lining to countless purses and pockets, larger pieces as accents on my kids' clothing - and covering buttons (so precious), with the scraps.

I only wish I lived near NY so that I could attend in person...

I would create a quilt I'd treasure for life from these lovely Liberty's. I have been in love with Liberty fabrics for such a long time.

I am learning to sew, but would love to make so many projects with this beautiful fabric. So many ideas are running through my mind, from framing it for my hallway, tablecloths and coordinating napkins for our table, coasters, purses, to hot packs, neck warmers and even bookmarks with the scraps. Pick me, pick me!
wow - there would be so many things i would make. first, i'd make a zipper pouch to hold my pens and pencils (i start school in the fall). i'd also use the fabric as trim pieces on these pillow covers I'm working on for a nice splash of color. i need a new camera strap now that i'm reviving my film camera. i hope to win!

I have long loved Liberty fabrics, so I'm not sure where I would start with a bundle of them...probably napkins, some sweet skirts for my girls and some pillow covers. I'd love it!

Liberty London fabrics always remind me of my home in London and of making a home! If I were to win these amazing fabrics, I'd make a gorgeous baby blanket for my best friends first baby back home. Every baby girl should have a little Liberty!

..Then I'd make a fabulous bed throw that I could pass through generations of my own family for everyone to treasure.

no doubt about it, i would make a quilt! i wish i could say it would be for someone else, but it would most certainly be one i would hold on to. those prints are just too beautiful!

For me, it would have to be an English paper pieced collection of pillows that I could spend many enjoyable hours patiently sewing - pouring over the beautiful patterns, and then snuggle up to and enjoy every day. I think a foot poof would be called for too if there was enough left over!

My wife is obsessed with all things Liberty! If I were to win this prize I'd surprise her with the package....and then force her to make a couch throw that we could snuggle up underneath together on cold winter nights!

I would make a giant, bright and awesome patchwork blanket!

Something wonderful: a quilt, a bag, the possibilities are endless. Would pet them for a long time before I decided. Thanks so much for the chance to win.ff
Oh my word! How amazing would it be to win! I would love to make my daughter some sweet little dresses and maybe a beautiful wall hanging quilt to show off my favorite fabrics!
July 17, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterKelly Jo
Oh wow! I'm pretty sure I'd have to use some of that wonderful fabric to make some clothing for myself. I'd also share the wealth with some clothes for my niece and daughter. And I'd get the boys in on the action by making some ties with the purlbee tie tutorial!
