Reminder: Launch Party for Liberty of London's New Lifestyle Collection!

Mark your calendars! Purl Soho is hosting the launch party for Liberty of London's new Lifestyle collection this Thursday from 6 to 7pm. We hope you'll join us in celebrating Liberty's first line of fabrics specially designed for crafting and patchwork. Made with all the love we expect from Liberty of London, the Lifestyle collection brings its own fresh pop with punchy florals, super cute feedsacks, and wild paisleys. Come get a sneak peak and a jump-start your stash!

The Party

When: Thursday, July 19th from 6 to 7pm

Where: Purl Soho, 459 Broome Street, New York City

We'll be toasting to the Lifestyle collection with an amazing cocktail mixed up by Heidi Johannsen Stewart, co-owner of the extraordinary tea atelier, Bellocq. Her special summery creation will combine Bellocq's refreshing herbal blend, Le Hammeau, with a light Prosecco. It's the perfect introduction to Bellocq, whose out-of-this-world teas we are now proud to carry at Purl Soho!

The Giveaways

Three lucky partygoers will each win a giant fabric bundle that includes all 55 Lifestyle fabrics! In addition, Liberty has generously provided goodies so everyone will have something to walk away with!

And if you can't join us. . .

Two lucky online readers will also receive a Lifestyle fabric bundle that includes all 55 fabrics! To enter, leave a comment on this post by 7pm EST on Thursday telling us what you would make with all of this beautiful fabric. Remember to leave a working email address on the comment form so we can contact you if you win (please be assured that your email address won't be public and we promise not to share it with anyone!)!

We hope to see you at the celebration this Thursday!

Gorgeous fabric! I think it would make some beautiful pillowcases!

I love this collection so much. I'd use it to make a couple of quilts--one for my grandmother, who is my quilting inspiration, and the other for my daughter, who is named after my grandmother.

Wow! So lovely I wish I could be there. I can't wait to see Liberty's lifestyle collection in person. I don't know what I would make but you have many fun tutorials that I think would be great to try out. : )

It's all so beautiful. I'd love to make a Liberty of London inspired quilt.

Oh. My. I would love to make a quilt for our bed, and our rocking chair could use a patchwork seat pad and a back pad. Oh, and I could make a sweet patchwork sewing machine cover for the vintage Singer that my daughter was gifted from my mother (the machine I learned to sew on). Several pouches or drawstring bags would make day to day business beautiful...produce sacks, pencil cases, pincushions, pot holders. How about lavender & rice-filled eye bags, or hot/cold therapy bags? These fabrics would inspire a gorgeous, colorful flood of projects! Of course, for a certain amount of time, the stack would sit on the work table to be lovingly admired by all who pass!

Thank you for the chance to win!

How exciting! I won't be there (darn kids needing care in Memphis instead!) but I can't wait to see it in person. If were so lucky to win, I would make a quilt for my daughter's room and then see what I might have left! I love the hoops of fabric as a decor idea.

I would just pile them all up, jump on them, roll around with them, and giggle until my heart is so full of fabric goodness. I guess you could say, I would make a "goodness fabric swimming hole" with them.

With all 50 of those beautiful fabrics, I'd definitely have to share them by gathering together some stitching friends to sew some lovely patchwork gifts for our children or even ourselves!

What an extremely generous giveaway! I think I would use the fabric for making little pouches and for embellishing felt Christmas ornaments. I might be persuaded to share some with my Crafternoon friends too!

Oh, I've been waiting and waiting for these fabrics! I am planning to make a king-sized quilt for my parents for their 50th anniversary next summer - and I need to get started!

Oh, these fabrics are worthy of an heirloom-quality quilt! Maybe a Single Girl, or a Dresden Plate? Hand quilted, natch. My daughter is 15 months old and I reeeally need to get started on her hope chest quilts, lol!

I fell in love with Liberty fabrics as a young teenager in the 1970s. I can still remember my mother's sleeveless Liberty blouses with a peter pan collar. We both thought they were the most Gorgeous pieces in her summer wardrobe.

Well, it's almost 40 years later and I appreciate them even more now than I did then. I haven't seen Liberty fabrics in 10 or 12 years. I live near Orlando , Fl and haven't found anyplace that sells them.

So, what would I do if I were fortunate enough to win these beautiful fabrics, you ask......Well, I recently bought a sewing machine with embroidery capabilities and rekindled my fire for creating that had been put on the back burner for quite a while. Lately I have been sewing baby quilts, pocketbooks and all sorts of fun things for my family and friends. I'm doing lots of applique too, for which the Liberty fabrics would be so perfect.

I attach a tag that says Mollymere to all of the items that I give away. This is in honor of my mother (Mo), my sister, (her initials were LL) and my French grandmother who we called Grandmere, but shortened to Mere over the years. My mother and my grandmother passed along to my sisters and me an appreciation for fine fabrics ( Liberty at the top of the list) and heirloom linens that inspires all the projects I create.

I can't wait to visit your store one day!

I would be over the moon to win this wonderful bundle of Liberty fabrics! I am so excited about their new line of quilting fabric. I am currently addicted to English paper piecing and would make a modern hexagon quilt if I won the bundle. Thanks for the chance!
