Finishing Touch

Now you have to decide which side will be the outside for a moment.  Fold the bag in half widthwise so that the handles are on the same side.  Pin together the long side seams.  See the pretty fabric peeking out?  I think this photo (above) looks like a face.

Sew a 1/4-inch edge seam along both side seams to complete the bag.  Don't forget to backstitch at each edge.

I hope you enjoy working with this simple, elegant fabric as much as I did. -- Isabelle

I'm reading a lot, all engrossed and this little joke caught me off guard. Nearly lost my coffee in a guffaw/spit take combination. Hilarious, and yes, it does.Excellent tutorial, thank you.

I love the fabric and would like to know where you found it.

Hi, loved the design.

It's tempting as anything, even though I'm pretty horrible at nedlework. Do you think I could manage it sewing by hand alone? I'm a little wary since the 1/4" edge will show on both sides of the bag, not to mention the outside of the straps.

Thank you.

Also pretty horrible with spelling :)

That's needlework, not nedlework!
