Pom Pom Peds - Materials

PPPmaterials.jpg

  • 2 skeins of Hand Jive's Nature's Palette 100% merino wool. These colors are Coral and Walnut. Please note that to make 2 pairs of socks you will probably need all 185 yards of these skeins, so be careful substituting...
  • 1 set of US #2 double pointed needles. I used Crystal Palace's 6 inch bamboo needles.
  • 1 Susan Bates Pom Pom Maker (Optional - you can also make pom poms with a handmade cardboard template.)

This is a silly question, but when I knitted swatches of the yarns, they didn't come out 8 stitches per inch. Instead, one color was 7 stitches wide (per inch) by 12 rows long, while the other color was also 7 stitches wide but 10 rows long. How do I solve this problem?

Hi,
I would love to make this pattern but as I am in Australia I will have to use a different yarn. Does the term fingering yarn mean it is approximately a four ply or is it a thinner sock yarn?
Thanks for all of the lovely patterns.

Hi Nicky,
This yarn is equivalent to a 4 ply yarn.
Thanks for your interest!
