Attaching the Eyes

frog4.jpg

You may choose to embroider the eyes.  We chose green beads and sewed them on with closely matching thread.

Sew the beads to the top of the head, toward the seams, to imitate a frog's wide-set eyes.

THANKS! What a wonderful tutorial! I was looking for an easy stuffie project for a birthday pressie! I made it in a couple of hours this afternoon. I've posted it on flickr!

Oh, this brings back memories of childhood. Had one of these as a kid. Could even use it as a small heat pack if you had microwave proof buttons. Thanks so much!

I'm planning on making this frog for an infant who's nursery is frog-themed. Has anyone got suggestions on how to do the eyes differently so that there are no parts (i.e. beads) that would be unsafe to a baby? There is mention of embroidering the eyes -- how would I do that? Thanks!

Thank you for this pattern. My daughter was assigned the red-eyed tree frog for her rain forest research project. She wanted to make a stuffed frog to display with her report. I followed this pattern and used red beads for the eyes - it looks adorable and was super easy to make!
