Making the Tassel

Cut Color A's tail about 2 feet long and thread it onto a tapestry needle.

Bring the yarn back and forth across the top of the hat, forming equal size loops.

When you have as many loops as you want, tightly wrap the remainder of the tail around the base of the loops a few times.

Bring the needle up through the center of the tassel.

Trim the tassel to whatever length you want.

Et voila!

I am always in awe of your inspirion and creativity - I am so curious about when do you have time to do all this knitting and designing? Thank you for what you do and for generously sharing it with the rest of us.

A little confused- the hat seems like it's a two-row stripe, but the instructions have a color change at the end of every row. Or is it very late and I'm reading them all wrong?

Aww this was such a cute project - I've never knitted anything with striping but it's turned out surprisingly well! Now to try it in red and white candystripe . . . .

I love this hat! It appears that the rib is folded up. Knitting for 4" instead of 2" as per the instructions.
