Father's Day: Rolled Hem Handkerchiefs

hankiesfinalflat.jpg

These hankies look great when you make them from fabric that's reminiscent of men's shirting fabric both in look and feel, and make a wonderful handmade father's day gift.  We chose fabrics with small prints, but that's not to say you can't think out of the box and go for a much bolder pattern.   We chose 7 fabrics that compliment each other so you can hand dad a gorgeous stack of hankies, but we know he'd be just as thrilled with one!

Oh thank you, I was looking a while back for a good tutorial for doing a rolled hem and could not find one. Now I do. Clarice

These are so lovely! I'm sorry I didn't find your tutorial till after Father's Day! Maybe I'll do some early for next year. . .

;) I use hankies all the time. Your photo shows a guy using the hanky with a suit but you have so many lovely, girly prints, too! Saves issues tissues which saves trees. I just throw hankies in with my regular washes. Best, Louise
