Quilting for Peace 30 Minute Grocery Bag Workshop with Katherine Bell
$45
Claire Morsman, who lives on a houseboat in London, learned to sew her own grocery bags out of recycled fabrics so she wouldn't have to use plastic ones, after she found out about the terrible effects of plastic on sea creatures. Then she started a volunteer group, morsbags, to encourage crafters to make bags themselves and give them away, guerilla-style, at supermarkets. Double seams make these bags extra-durable for heavy groceries. Join us for this one day workshop and, once you’ve had a little practice, you can make one in under 30 minutes! No experience necessary!
