Treeline Striped Cardigan

stripecardi13.jpg

This winter I have been struck with Striping Fever!  I think I was inspired first by the Quilts of Gees Bend, which I go back to again and again for their wealth of color, pattern, and spontaneity.  This time, it was the stripes that got me.  It got me knitting.  stripedcardi6.jpg

I'm a girl who never says no to more color or pattern, but I was a little timid about launching into some kind of technicolor fair isle fantasy.  I designed this sweater to show off the incredible range of color in just one shade of Manos del Uruguay yarn with a small stripe pattern.  For me, this is restrained, austere, grown-up, but I think it really showcases the incredible blues that I saw in the Gee's Bend denim and corduroy quilts. -- Isabelle

Wow; such nice work. You're right about that quilting too: I love those fluid lines and the faded denim rocks.

Just wondering, when you're kntting back and forth (on everything but the sleeves) should you be purling on the WS?

Hi Heather,
Yes, on WS rows you should be purling.

I am totally stumped on how to join the sleeves-when the markers come in and there are suddenly 228 stiches?

Heard there were errata for this pattern. Any way to add them here or list them on the project page on Ravelry? Much appreciated.
