Meet Cassandra

cassandra1.jpg

If you take hand-sewing or hand-quilting classes at Purl Patchwork, you'll meet our friend Cassandra Thoreson.  Her bubbly conversation, tireless creativity, and unmatched technical ability make her a great teacher.

We first met Cassandra over at Purl, where she shared her love for all things yarn. From socks to shawls, there is no pattern too intricate, no needle too small. Whether she's at Purl or Purl Patchwork, she always takes the time to share her latest work and lend a helping hand to others.

We caught up with Cassandra at this year's New York Sheep and Wool Festival, where she had just bought this enormous bag of fleece! We can't wait to see what she spins up next!

Cassandra is a treasure. I've taken a few classes with her and will happily take more when they're offered.

I'm sitting here wearing the same sweater (Turbulence U-Neck from Knitting Nature) that Cassandra is wearing in the photo. It even looks like the same color. I wonder what yarn she used? Mine's a chocolate brown Koigu Kersti Merino Crepe from Purl.
