Quarter Quilts
Doll-sized quilts are perfect for experimenting with new fabrics and techniques without investing a lot of time. They are also a nice way to show off that amazing fabric that you only have a 1/4-yard of, or that scrap of your favorite shirt you've been saving.
We like to think of these mini-projects as New York apartment sized quilts. Because they are much smaller than the average bedspread, quarter quilts can be easily framed or hung directly on the wall. If you make several with the same fabrics (trying out different stitch patterns, for example), you might want to hang them in a row or put them on your table to use as hot pads. Make one into a keepsake for a friend, or a blanket for a doll.

No we're not moving away from knitting at all! Just this morning we noticed that all of the last week's posts were sewing related. We're working on making sure we keep a balance between yarn and fabric related projects as we go forward. We really appreciate your comment, thank you!
