Subscribe to The Purl Bee!

Did you know that you can subscribe to the Purl Bee?  We'll let you know each time we update your favorite section of the Purl Bee through our XML feed.  You can stay updated with our latest articles, project journals, and news. 

In order to subscribe to the Purl Bee, you'll need a newsreader, which is basically a spam-free mailbox where the latest entries from your favorite blogs and news sites are delivered each day. There are many newsreaders out there; some are free.  Mozilla Firefox is a free browser that has a built-in newsreader in Live Bookmarks.  Bloglines, a free web log publisher, features a subscription manager as well as other tools. 

Just paste the URL for any of the Purl Bee sections you'd like into the Subscription page of the newsreader of your choice.

thank you! this is the first explanation of how an XML feed works that i could understand...almost! just one question: is there a difference between XML and RSS?? and what exactly does XML stand for? (i know what RSS is) at least now i can see how to set one up so i can receive...how does it work so you can send it out? thank you for your article.

The content of our RSS feeds are formatted using Extensible Markup Language, otherwise known as XML. Each feed is released automatically, as soon as we post a new article. Don't we sound techy!
