Jen's Tilli Tomas Silk Scarf
Jen's friend Tricia had her eye on two different styles of Tilli Tomas Spun Silk: Salt and Pepper with orange seed beads and Disco Lights with lime sequins. She wanted a scarf and left the rest up to Jen.
Jen tucked the silk away in the "yarn for special projects" section of her stash and searched for just the right stitch. When Tricia's birthday came around earlier this month, Jen created a dazzling basket weave stitch scarf for her friend.
Basket weave stitch is a beautiful choice for silk yarn for a couple of reasons: a) it gives silk some structure with strong stitches; b) each detailed stitch benefits from silk's shiny texture; and c)it is a reversible stitch that looks good on the front and the back!
Here's how she did it:
Using US size 9 needles, cast on 20 stitches. Jen mixed sequins and beads by knitting with both strands at once. The strands will naturally wind around each other as they are pulled from the ball.

Thanks.
We recommend handwashing in cool water. Use a gentle detergent like baby shampoo.
Just one skein of each color for the scarf.
Enjoy!
