Kaffe-Knits-Again425.jpg

Legendary artist and knitwear designer Kaffe Fasset is back with his first knitting book in over a decade, KAFFE KNITS AGAIN!  F.I.T. is hosting a lecture with Kaffe this Thursday where you can hear him speak about working with color, get an autographed copy of the book and see projects first hand.  This event is open to the public, no tickets required.

The Fashion Institute of Technology
Thursday, November 1
6:00 pm–7:30 pm
Haft Auditorium, Seventh Ave. at 27th Street, New York City

Kaffe Fasset is one of the premiere knitters in the world, known by millions of knitters who cherish his intricate designs, unique color palette, and bold graphic aesthetic. Kaffe Knits Again was shot in England's eclectic, historic Charleston House, the country meeting place of the Bloomsbury Group artists and writers like Vanessa Bell (sister of Virginia Woolf), Duncan Grant, Dora Carrington, and E. M. Forester.

i love kaffe fasset designs....enough that i might learn to knit just to realize one of them. I have his Quilt Road and Quilt Caravan books and they are fantastic. He always picks the best locations...the interior shots of the Mercer Mansion in Doylestown, PA are such sympathetic backgrounds.

So now Kaffe has gone to Charleston for his latest book...another home rife with riots of color and ornamentation. Like I said, I gotta learn to knit!
