Whit's Knits: Daisy Stitch Hand Warmers
Sometimes I don't want the encumbrance of mittens or gloves. Opening locks, digging out money, pushing cell phone buttons...I need finger mobility! I think the warmth question is debatable. Once you've removed your mittens to apply your chapstick, your hands are way colder than they would have been if you'd just kept your hand warmers on. That's my theory anyway... You can test out my theory yourself by visiting my Daisy Stitch Hand Warmer Project Journal. --Whitney

If you want to knit your scarf flat, I gave the instructions to another reader. Read the comments at the end of the pattern, you should see them! Or a tube scarf sounds really cool too. You can make it wider by casting on any multiple of four stitches. -Whitney
