Cheer for Phyllis!

 phyllis.jpg

Phyllis is a creative juggernaut:  musician, quilter, crafter, all-around fun-loving gal.  We asked her to give us the scoop on what she's been working on lately, including the upcoming Revlon Run/Walk here in New York.  In her own words:

I try to make quilts that play with your eyes and have a lot of depth.  Here is a picture of a quilt top I’ve been making. I don’t have a pattern, it’s just a really big log cabin block. I really like mixing the bold solids with the old fashioned mustard color Coccinelle fabric from Kokka.

I quit smoking seven weeks ago and I’ve been doing a lot of things to celebrate recently, like treating myself to a haircut and a facial and most importantly signing up (and training) to run the Revlon Run/Walk for the fight against womens cancers on May 5. I look at it both as a celebration of my healthy changes and a chance to help the greater cause of women’s health.

You can sponsor Phyllis in honor or in memory of a loved one.  Please visit her personal sponsorship page at the Revlon Run/Walk site by clicking here!  Good Luck Phyllis, we'll be rooting for you!

Phyllis! I've stopped by many times to see you and it's always your day off! I'm the tall girl who was pregnant and always in making stuff for the baby! I had a baby boy and I've been dying to show him off to you! Glad to hear you've stopped smoking and are keeping your hands busy in a productive way....you look wonderful! I"m moving so I won't see you're sweet self again! Good luck with everything! It made my day to see you on the blog!
