Artist Kristina Wong at Purl
Purl is the setting for Assosciated Press reporter Stephanie Hoo's video interview with performance artist Kristina Wong! We were pleased to host the Los Angeles based artist for a quick interview while she is in New York, participating in the First National Asian American Theater Festival (June 11 - 24). Tonight is the final performance of her yarn-centric piece, Wong Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, which she describes in the interview. Wong directs physical humor and wit at serious issues that affect women. You can see Kristina Wong in action in New York this month and throughout the country soon. There is a schedule of events and more on her website.

Have not seen the show but hope it does not poke fun of others' struggles, even though it is intended for "awareness"
The AP reporter let me know you add this to your blog! Thanks so much for letting us do the interview at your store and letting me use your swifter. Be assured, that the only person who gets humiliated in my show is me! I will be moving to NY for a few months in 2008 and look forward to getting my knit on with you all again!
love,
