New Spaces and New Faces: PURLSOHO IS HIRING!

purlsoho%20colorwheel.jpg

Purlsoho has upgraded to a new work space, and now we are looking for some fresh new faces to go with it!

Jen needs part-time help for the rest of the summer; the position will become full time in September.  She jotted a short list of what the job entails, and it boils down to these three basic questions:

Are you hard-working, friendly, and love to organize? Do you know how to knit or sew, or even better, both?  Do you live in Orange County, California area? Then send us your resume to customerservice@purlsoho.com!

Responsibilities include:

  1. Answer the phone and help customers.
  2. Pack and ship customer orders. This time sensitive task includes gathering, wrapping, and processing orders.
  3. Unpack and stock new inventory.  This includes photographing and preparing new stock for the website as well as organizing it in our storage area.
  4. Take inventory and place orders.
  5. Work hard and have fun.  It is a big room full of beautiful yarn and fabric after all!

We'd love to hear from you!  Please send your inquiries and resumes to Jen at customerservice@purlsoho.com!

I have never wanted to live in CA more than I do today. I would be perfect for that job... Any chance you really want to move to Iowa, instead?! :D

If only it were Purl London you were branching out into then I would be first in the queue.

Too bad it's not Purl Los Angeles, it would be the job I've been dreaming of lately! But the OC might as well be NYC, commute-wise :(

Oh man! If I weren´t 9 months pregnant I would move to OC right away. This would be my first choice of a job.
If you ever decide to branch out to the "enormous" city of Reykjavik, Iceland, I will be your first applicant.
Good luck.

Too bad I already have a day job - the new warehouse is just a hop, skip, and a jump away! I'm looking forward to visiting in person.

DANG!! If only I'd seen this In July!! (You can definitely tell I'm not a regular visitor of this site.) I'd've quit my job in a heartbeat!! I'm an OC knitter... Dang. Ah, well. Cheers to whoever works there!

I'm a little late joining in on the conversation, but I saw that there was some mention of Switzerland. I just moved to Zug from the US and need some bee girls. Anyone out there know anyone who knows anyone way far away in the land of chocolate?

How is it that I am just now hearing about Purl Soho in the OC? I have thought so many time how one of the first things I will do if I ever get to visit NY is go to your store. Well the OC is not close enough for me to apply for this job but it is close enough for me to visit the store. I am so excited. OC here I come.
