Sweets for the Sweet! Knitting and Sewing Summer Dresses
Summer dresses make perfect summer knitting and sewing during these hot and lazy days. Here at Purl we can't resist a sweet, simple shift that shows off our favorite yarns and fabrics in a pattern that is ready for play. Here are just a couple of cuties:
Leslie Scanlon's swishy, ruffled dress pictured above features shimmering Tilli Tomas Silk adorned with sequins or beads. This quick knitting pattern combines elegant yarn with a simple shape and rippling ruffles around the hem and shoulders. Leslie's patterns are popular with knitters for their clear directions and good shaping as well as an element of fun that appears in every project. Any pint-sized princess will take a shine to this dress!
This heirloom pattern incorporates detailed stitches, cap sleeves, and dainty buttons. The open collar and button front are practical design elements that make this dress easy to put on younger babies. Blue Sky's sport weight fibers, with their soft fibers and gentle texture, are a perfect compliment to this baby dress. We recommend their gorgeous Silk Alpaca, which the pattern was designed for, or their luxuriously soft Royal Alpaca for refined stitches and delightful knitting.
FAVORITE THINGS LITTLE VINTAGE JUMPER & HAT
Not just for babies, this sunny pattern is sized up to a children's 12. Whipping up this breezy project is fun for beginning and intermediate crafters because of its classic shape and simple styling. The Little Vintage Jumper can be customized to suit any style with pockets, a ruffle around the neck, and even a matching hat. You can adjust the skirt length and other details depending on the little lady.
Fun fabric is essential for summer sundresses. Here's a link to some happy fabrics that will make you smile: kid-friendly prints, bright blossoms, and dancing ditsies.
As the mercury rises and the popsicles melt, we hope you're staying cool and crafty this week!

I´m a grandmother in Sweden. My grand daughter is now 4 months old. I love knitting and looking for i bit different patterns. This was just wonderful. Can I find the pattern on this site or how much would it cost to get it by mail?
Best regards,
Britt-Marie
