Back to School at Purl Patchwork!
The class schedule at Purl Patchwork is chalk full of exciting sewing classes for the fall including two new offerings from Heather Ross:
Skirts That Work
An intermediate class where students will learn about different skirt silhouettes and lengths. Students will also learn how to sew in a zipper and make an invisible hem. Each participant will make a single dart skirt with a back zipper.
Tuesdays October 23rd, 30th, and November 6th. 7:15- 9:15pm
Baby Overalls
An intermediate class where students make a pair of Heather Ross designed overalls for a little one aged 6- 24 months. The overalls (pictured above) are perfect for little boys!
Tuesdays Nov 13th, 20th, and 27th. 7:15- 9:15pm
Heather, as many of you may know, is a fabric and clothing designer whose fabrics have a whimsical look and a soft hand. Her newest line is Westhill (and we think it would make an adorable pair of overalls!)
Our other talented and creative teachers, Liesl, and Cassandra also have great classes up on the schedule. We'd love to see you in one of them!

I'm jealous, nonetheless.

Thank you so much for your comment! I think we were a little unclear in our meaning above... the whole reason we're offering this class is precisely for the reason that you mention. So many children's patterns are for super feminine girls, so we wanted to offer a class that includes clothes that are appropriate for boys as well as girls. I can see that we should have said that we think that these overalls are perfect for little girls AND boys! I really appreciate your help in getting this point across! Best wishes, Joelle
sorry if that was off topic.
the classes look great too!
The dots, alas, have not come in again... However, we do still have a few left. If you click on the photo it will take you to the page at purlsoho.com where you can find them.
able to always coordinate when you have a class. If you can't produce a pattern how much yardage does it take to make a pair if we can find a comparable pattern?
