I recently read an article about Gwyneth Paltrow's vacation house. It was very spare and very gray. She said in the article that she's not really into the "granny chic aesthetic", which made me realize that I kinda am. So here's a wonky ol' hat in honor of our grannies, The Granny Chic Crocheted Hat. Just don't make one for Gwyneth...! --Whitney

This hat makes me want to learn to crochet. It's beautiful. So, yup, guess I'm a fan of the granny chic too...and proud of it. ;)

ohh! i am so going to make this! how could i size it down to a baby hat? smaller hook or smaller yarn maybe? any ideas? my 9 month old could really use a new hat.
