Whit's Knits: Cuddly Cotton Baby Blanket

Babies are probably Purl's most demanding customers. "Give me soft and machine washable and hypo-allergenic and fast to knit because I'm on my way! "  A tall order perfectly filled by Farmhouse Yarns'  I Am Allergic to Wool, a beautifully hand-dyed, hand-spun, bulky cotton with a rayon binder. A rare combination of characteristics that uniquely answers a baby's specifications!

I love how the hand-dyed colors ripple through this blanket, like reflections on a lake. Even more, I love the weight and bulk and total cushiness of this thing. Even though it's made of cotton, it's definitely cozy enough for cooler weather.  It's going to make some baby very happy!

For instructions on how to make one for a demanding customer in your life, please visit my Cuddly Cotton Baby Blanket Project Journal. Thanks! - Whitney

That blanket is beautiful! I love that it's made of cotton instead of wool.

Cute blanket! The Blue Sky Alpacas Dyed Cotton is also great for baby stuff and comes in such cute, bright colors. Slightly confusing that it's from Blue Sky ALPACAS even though it's 100% cotton :)

oh! what a sweet blanket! After our wedding, it'll be very hard not to start pre-baby-knitting! :)
