Molly's Sketchbook: Alabama Chanin DIY Flower Kit

The new Alabama Chanin DIY Flower Kit contains all the supplies you need to make this lovely bouquet of fabric mums- leaves, petals, stems and all! The instructions for this fun project are available in Natalie Chanin's wonderful Alabama Stitch Book which showcases her natural, pretty, handmade style.

Putting this arrangement together was very quick and very fun. I love the soft palette of organic 100% cotton jersey and I love even more that the fabric was already cut into strips for me! I think this would be a perfect bridal shower activity. You don't really need any sewing experience and there aren't any difficult techniques, plus you end up with an amazing and everlasting bouquet!

If you'd like to make some of your own flowers you can pick up the kit here and the book (with the instructions) here. Happy Sewing! --Molly
