We are very excited to offer two new Purl Bee Workshops in July - Joelle’s Giant Granny Square Blanket and Elisa’s Nest Tote.  

Joelle’s Giant Granny Square is such a popular blanket here at Purl and we think it’s the perfect beginner project. The workshop will be held on two consecutive Tuesdays, July 21st and 28th, from 7:15 - 9:15pm. You will learn all the crochet basics as well as how to get started on your very own blanket. This project is a great way to experiment with color, stitches, and yarn - you can crochet the blanket with a variety of yarn sizes. Purl’s favorite, Koigu, just arrived with dozens of new color shades! 

Elisa’s Nest Tote is the ideal summer project - fast, easy, and portable. You can even use it as a great reusable shopping bag when you finish. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, July 22nd and 29th, from 7:15 - 9:15pm. You will learn lace basics (increasing and decreasing), as well as crochet seaming and i-cord. This is another wonderful project that can be made with yarns of all weights and fibers. Our store sample is made out of one skein of Rowan 4-Ply Cotton, but we think it would be great out of anything!

If you are just starting out, no need to worry! Purl will also be offering their beginner knitting classes in July. The beginner series will be held on Saturdays, July 11th, 18th, and 25th, from 10am - 12pm, and on Mondays, July 13th, 20th, and 27th, from 7:15-9:15pm.
