Baby Leg Warmers for Mila

As a new mom I love to knit for my baby girl Mila, but of course I don't have a lot of free time on my hands. So when I do have time to knit I want to make things for her that are quick, but that are also special and beautiful.  I was inspired to make these baby leg warmers when our recent shipment from Koigu Wool Designs arrived.

I've always been a sucker for all things Koigu, so I was super excited to see one of my favorite solid Koigu colors in their DK weight yarn, Kersti, for the first time, a lovely soft purlple-gray (#K2360.5).  I paired the Kersti with stripes of 6 different purple shades from our Trio Needlepoint yarn collection (and since Trio comes in tiny skeins for needlepoint I didn't feel like this was too extravagant).  I'm so pleased with the result! These little legwarmers are great for keeping Mila warm now when there is too much air conditioning, and they'll still fit her this winter, too.

To whip up a pair of these cuties, please visit our Baby Leg Warmers for Mila. --Faye

I love that you provided a "not too extravagant" means for the striping. Adorable project. Adorable baby girl!
My own baby Mila (yes, that's her name too) would adore these. She loves all manner of things striped and certainly loves her leg warmers.

Thank you for this! Baby is so pretty! I like the color change, and this will be a nice gift for my friend's baby. Looking forward to more of this kind!
