Back to School - New Classes at Purl Soho!

It's that time of year again. Summer is coming to a close and the Fall is just around the corner. It is back to school season! But why should the kiddies have all the fun? Why not treat yourself and take a class?!? We have some new classes and some old Purl Soho classics too!

A new class we are feeling all fuzzy over teaches the craft of needle felting. Come learn to Needle Felt with Nguyen Le of KnitKnit! In this class, you will learn to make soft creatures, fruits, vegetables, or anything you like, by sculpting wool with a barbed needle. Once the technique is mastered you'll be whipping up little creations with ease - perfect to use as charms, brooches or simply place them around your home for a bit of whimsy! Sign up for this brand new, one-session class on September 22nd from 6-8pm!

Also in September:
  • Jessica Marquez teaches how to embroider and create a beautiful piece of wall art in Stitch Dictionary on September 13th & 20th from 6-8pm!
  • Stitch up some fun with Sashiko, Japanese Hand Quilting with Susan Sato on September 27th from 6-8pm!
  • Learn the insides and out of your sewing machine with Cassandra Thoreson as you create a stunning Reversible Tote Bag in Beginning Machine Sewing on September 10th, 17th & 24th from 10am-1pm!
  • Master the essentials of piecing quilt tops with your sewing machine in Patchwork Basics with Cassandra Thoreson on September 14th, 21st & 28th from 6:30-8:30pm!
  • Tackle the basics of crochet and make your very own Giant Granny Square Blanket with Jeremy Wilson on September 15th & 22nd from 7-9pm!
Mark your calendars, and go back to school with Purl Soho! Looking for more classes? To see the entire fall schedule so far - please click right here

I love the topmost polka dot in the first photo. Is it by chance #4509CC
in your online store?

This post made me wish SO BADLY that I was in New York. Such gorgeous photos and such fascinating-looking classes. Come down to Costa Rica for me?

I'd love to take a class or three but distance won't allow it. Darn. However, I LOVE that yummy stack of dots. I didn't find it in your on line shop. I have a thing for dots.

Hi Stephanie and Lailanit-

The dot picture at the top is mostly of fabrics that are sadly out of print. However the Leicien dots are very similar you can find them here:

You can also check out our entire selection of dots here:
