Super Soft Merino Fruity Trivets + Pot Holders

Remember our original Fruity Trivets and Pot Holders? Three years later, we've reconceived this super cute, classic design, using the same exact pattern but now a different yarn!

This time we dipped into Purl Soho's collection of Super Soft Merino and came up with blasts of rich, beautiful color. Sunshine yellow, party pink, hot orange, cool sprout green, and a dash of warm white, together create a palette as feelgood as summertime itself!

For this year's version we've put together kits of Yarn for Fruity Trivets and Pot Holders, all the colors you'll need in one easy place. Choose to make all four designs with a set of 6 skeins or pick a smaller kit to make just your favorite fruit!

Once you've got what you need, just follow the original crochet pattern right here. Or if you prefer to knit, use the pattern for the knitted version here!

NOTE: Both of the original patterns use Blue Sky's Worsted Cotton doubled, but if you're using Super Soft Merino, use it as just a single strand!

These are adorable, as all of your ideas and patterns are!

One question: is the Super Soft Merino yarn held double as instructed in the original pattern?

Hi pkett,

Excellent question! I added a note to the Materials list that answers your question: no, with the Super Soft Merino you do not have to double the yarn.

Thank you so much for straightening that out. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
