I can't wait for Spring to arrive. I am so sick of slushy snow, grey days, and cold temperatures! Besides the warmer weather one of the things I'm looking forward to most is sitting down with family and friends at all of the celebrations that happen each spring. There's Easter, Passover, Mother's Day, Earth Day, Cinco De Mayo and even St. Patrick's Day (I know St. Pat's isn't technically in the springtime, but it's close enough for me!).

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.purlbee.com/the-purl-bee/2010/3/6/whits-knits-fuzzy-easter-chicks-and-mini-easter-eggs.html"><rss:title>Whit's Knits: Fuzzy Easter Chicks and Mini Easter Eggs</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.purlbee.com/the-purl-bee/2010/3/6/whits-knits-fuzzy-easter-chicks-and-mini-easter-eggs.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>Alchemy Yarns Gifts Holiday Projects Knitting Toys Whit's Knits</dc:subject>
It's been a very long, very snowy winter in New York and, so, Easter is especially welcome to me this year. I can't wait for a holiday that celebrates spring's harbingers: baby chicks and lambs, budding daffodils, the bright colors of a warm, sunny day.
Two weeks ago we announced The BIG Move right here on The Purl Bee. In case you missed our announcement, we're moving our two Soho shops, Purl and Purl Patchwork to a new, much bigger space in Soho this April. You can read all about it right here. Since we made our announcement, we've been flooded with emails, phone calls and visits from customers expressing excitement and enthusiam over our big moving adventure. We'd like to take this moment to let you know that we truly appreaciate the positive thoughts and encouragement you've shown about our BIG move so far! Thank you!!!

One question we've been hearing over and over is "what are you going to call the new store?" Since our two shops each have their own names, Purl and Purl Patchwork, and the new store will be combination of the two this is a very good question! Thankfully, this is one decision in the millions of little details we have to deal with that was easy to make. Our new shop will be called Purl Soho, just like our website (plus so many of you call us that already anyhow!).

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.purlbee.com/the-purl-bee/2010/2/27/colorful-crafting-with-jen-big-red-bobbi-bear.html"><rss:title>Colorful Crafting with Jen: Big Red Bobbi Bear</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.purlbee.com/the-purl-bee/2010/2/27/colorful-crafting-with-jen-big-red-bobbi-bear.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>Babies Blue Sky Alpaca Colorful Crafting with Jen Knitting Spud & Chloe Toys</dc:subject>

If you're a faithful reader of The Purl Bee, you may remember that a few weeks ago we mentioned that we're having a baby boom at Purl Soho. I'm very excited to say that I happen to be one of the very happy Purl Soho-Mother's-To-Be! When I started thinking about knitting for my baby, I didn't have to think very hard about what my first project for my little one would be. I have always loved the Bobbi Bear (and the Baby Bobbi Bear) pattern from Blue Sky Alpacas because it's so big (almost 2 feet tall!) which makes it great to cuddle with, plus the pattern is very well written, very quick and it doesn't involve a lot of sewing up.

</rss:item></rdf:RDF>
