Step 2

With pencil or fabric pen, draw a line from corner to corner  of one square. Pin the squares with right sides together as shown, and the pins perpendicular to the line you have drawn.

I have a wonderful plastic ruler gadget that has a hole in the centre so I draw the line through the centre, then each side of the ruler and I do not need to use the pins. I sew the side lines and cut down the centre one. I have forgotten what it is called. Must grab it out and make some of these now.
