So fun - I'll give this a try...I have a couple of pincushion patterns out with Fig Tree quilts, but this looks fun and simple and like a great way to feature a cute fabric. Thanks!! I'll post a pic on your flickr group when I get one done!

I once made a pincushion of cotton fabric and thread, stuffed with cotton batting, which rusted my pins in a matter of months, leaving brownish-red stains on the fabric and handmade crocheted lace.

I now make and stuff my pincushions with wool (felt or yarn scraps) and/or synthetics (such as PolyFil), and have no more rust problems.
